What is Fibromyalgia?

 

Fibromyalgia is a condition characterised by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep issues, and often cognitive challenges (commonly called “fibro fog”). It affects how your brain and nervous system process pain, often amplifying normal sensations into painful ones. People with fibromyalgia may also experience:

• Generalised body stiffness

• Heightened sensitivity to touch or pressure

• Mood changes such as anxiety or depression

• Gut issues or headaches

• Fluctuating symptoms and energy levels
